Jack Marston was the hero as Lonsdale kick started their season. Marston scored
an impressive hat trick which he completed deep into injury time to
get the Lonsdale campaign well and truely underway.
Lonsdale played there first leage game of the season
this Sunday and were undone but some dodgey refereeing decisions along with a
huge list of injured or ill players. Lonsdale barely managed to get a team
together which was beaten 2-0 by May & Bakers.
Lonsdale suffered their first loss of the season following a narrow 3-2 loss against arch rivals
Esprit FC. Even though Lonsdale had the lion share of the possesion they
failed to capitalise and in the end suffered for their lack of creativity in the
final third.
Lonsdale played out a 5-3 victory against Premier
outfit Morfdown Elect this Sunday. Luke Gabriel was inspirational as Lonsdale
overcame a side who are two divisions above the mighty lions.
Two goals from veteran hero
Mark Reed hauled Lonsdale back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with fellow Division 2
side May & Bakers Res. This match could prove to be a preview for Lonsdales
first league game of the season.
Lonsdale FC started their pre season campaign with a
comfortable win over Boo Yoo United last Sunday. Among the goalscorers were
debutants Jack Marston and Tez Wilson, Mark Anglis also made his return for
Lonsdale after a few years of absence.
